"David Franz (Lehmann) is one of Margaret and Peter Lehmann's sons, and took a very circuitous path around the world before establishing his eponymous winery. Wife Nicki accompanied him on his odyssey and they, together with three children, two dogs, a mess of chickens and a surly shed cat, all happily live together in their house and winery. The utterly unique labels stem from (incomplete) university studies in graphic design; his degree in hospitality business management is less relevant, for visits to the winery, aka the shed, are strictly by appointment only.
