Maglieri has long set the benchmark for winemaking in McLaren Vale, enjoying both national and international success over the past thirty years.Giovanni Maglieri arrived in McLaren Vale in 1958 from Italy, and began working in the McLaren Vale vineyards. Giovanni's son Steve followed him to Australiafive years later. In 1965 father and son bought 40 hectares of scrub in McLaren Vale, which led to their first planting of Italian varieties.
