As they were fully entitled to do, they already had their ducks set up in a row, and in short order acquired Balnarring Estate winery (being significantly upgraded) and leased Earl’s Ridge Vineyard near Flinders. In a move reminiscent of Janice McDonald at Stella Bella/Suckfizzle in the Margaret River, they launched their business with Pobblebonk (a white blend) and Rageous (a red blend), plus a Pinot Noir and a Pinot Gris with a passing nod to convention. The estate plantings are 2 ha each of pinot noir, tocai friulano and pinot gris, and 1 ha each of chardonnay and muscat giallo. Kathleen (with five children) is a human dynamo; this is a business sure to succeed."James Halliday's Wine Companion
