Express Parcel Rates
Please note that express shipments are dispatched from our Melbourne store on Tuesday-Friday business hours only. Most Eastern Capital Cities are serviced within 1-2 business days. Deliveries to country and outlying areas will be made as fast as possible (on a best endeavours basis).
Note : Orders received after 2:00 on Friday will be despatched on the following Tuesday (stock permitting) .

Gift Deliveries
If you are ordering as a gift, please note the following :
- We generally do not make deliveries by hand ourselves. Most orders are sent via Australia Post or Aramex/Fastway which operate Australia-wide parcel delivery networks. This delivery experience is typical of most online shopping merchants and parcels take at least a few days to be delivered. If the recipient is not home during the time of the delivery, the parcel may be redirected to a post office or depot to be collected later on.
- If the recipient is in Melbourne and situated near our shop - it may be possible for us to arrange for wines to be couriered on the same day or on a specific day of your choosing. The purchaser must select "Same Day Delivery" method and the order must satisfy the criteria as specified by this delivery method.
- If the recipient's address is rural, parcels will almost always be directed to the town's post office or parcel depot. This is because it is unsafe for delivery drivers to attempt to enter vast properties to try and locate people inside. On this note, recipients who live in rural address would generally be accustomed to collecting their mail and parcels themselves.
- We highly advise against sending wines as gifts to recipients not located within Australia. This is because the recipient will often be asked to pay additional import alcohol excise and duties when the wines reaches border customs.
- If you are purchasing the order from outside of Australia to a recipient within Australia, please take note of Australia's time-zone which is well ahead of most parts of the world.
Insurance
Full transit insurance can be optionally added to orders sent to Australian addresses. Insurance is charged at the rate of 1% of the value of your order. If you wish to send a parcel with insurance, please email sales@winehouse.com.au as soon as your order is placed.

Summer Delivery
During the Australian summer, we may choose to delay dispatch of your order to avoid potential heat damage to your wine. We use weather forecast information from the Bureau of Meteorology to make this judgement.
We try not to delay consignments unnecessarily and generally do not delay the dispatch unless an extreme heatwave is forecast.
If you DO NOT wish for us to make this decision for you, please indicate under "delivery address - special instructions" and tell us specifically what you would like us to do with your delivery in extreme heat conditions.
