Dutschke St Jakobi

"St. Jakobi" Lutheran church sits on the corner of Lyndoch Valley and Kreig Roads, along side of our family vineyard at Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley. It has been in this Church where my great grandparents, grandparents, parents and now Brenda and myself have all been married. The Shiraz vines on our family vineyard, planted in 1975, are consistent year after year in providing grapes with the rich, spicy, plum and chocolate like characters that we find in both the St. Jakobi and Oscar Semmler Shiraz.www.dutschkewines.com

Robert Parker 89 points! For a peppery, fleshy, and large-sized wine, the dark ruby/purple-colored 1998 St. Jakobi Shiraz reveals plenty of smoke, earth, and black fruits. A sweet, earthy entry on the palate is followed by full body, and a layered finish...
