"At under 14% alcohol , the 2016 H.P. Hydraulic Press Shiraz isn't like most Barossa Shiraz. It's floral, herbal and spicy, medium-bodied and supple, with notes of spiced raspberry compote that make for intriguing drinking. It's intensely aromatic yet manages to offer soft tannins at the same time, a neat trick I wish more vintners could manage to pull off. The grapes come from the Stonewell subregion of the western Barossa."

Sourced from our Stelzer Road Vineyard, Bultawilta Block and our Stonewell Hill Vineyard. Vibrant deep red with a rich dark core.Upfront fresh Satsuma plum in a spicebox complexity. Earthy mushroom notes with deep tarry hints round out a pretty complex nose.Innitial upfront plum and dark chocolate linger through to a spicy finegrained finish. The tripartate balance of tannin bright acid and fresh red black fruit is both generous and restrained. Terrific cellaring potential, but great to drink now.
