Rob Mann is a 6th-generation winemaker from the 2nd-oldest wine region in Australia. He was chief winemaker at Cape Mentelle in Margaret River, where he and wife Genevieve lived. Rob’s father had established a family vineyard in the Swan Valley more than 25 years ago, where they both worked together in Rob’s early years as a winemaker. Genevieve worked as a winemaker in her native South Africa, as well as France, California and South Australia before meeting Rob and moving to Margaret River in ’07 to be winemaker for Howard Park. They now have 3.5ha in Margaret River and the Swan Valley, planted to Chenin blanc, Tempranillo, Malbec and Cabernet sauvignon.
