[SOLD-OUT] Quartier Barbera 2008

"What a very interesting wine this is. Lots of interest here " it's rubbery, earthy, cherry and full of dried herb and pippy red fruit " smells like Hunter wine! Just medium bodied, lightly tannic, and very fresh offering unusual sweet and sour flavours with an earthy edge and a tangy pomegranate finish to close. Excellent food style."
Gary Walsh, Wine Front, July 2009

"Deep, dark red in colour and crimson at the rim. Smoked meats, ferric notes, earth, dry spices and other savoury notes dominate. There are more secondary than primary fruit characters and it is a satisfying dry wine with a touch of complexity. The texture is still juicy, with Barbera tannin levels but the flavours are more interesting and diverse than young Barbera sometimes offers."
