[SOLD-OUT] ONLINE Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 - 22/04/24

 An advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine enthusiasts.

Gain an extensive understanding of wines through this online study programme that is flexible to work around your existing commitments. The Level 3 Award in Wines Online covers the same syllabus as the classroom course. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality.

Unit 1

• The key factors in the production of wine: location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation and bottling
• The key characteristics of the principal: How to apply your understanding to make authoritative recommendations
  • still wines of the world
  • sparkling wines of the world
  • fortified wines of the world

Unit 2

• How to taste wines and evaluate quality, identity and price, using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
• A one-on-one Tasting Tutorial via Zoom
• Online tastings of a minimum of 12 general styles of wines (we do offer a number of different packs for discounted prices to complement your studies)

Course Layout

The course is delivered online and you have 9 weeks to complete the course. You can study it at your own pace within those 9 weeks. We are offering three different start dates, so please select your preferred course period. The selected date range is when you will have access to the online classroom and teacher support. During this time the bulk of your studies should take place. The mandatory Zoom and exam dates are the same for all three course options.

A minimum of 10 hours study per week is recommended for a successful completion of the course. Regular access and participation is essential. 
The Exam will be held in person in our tasting room at the Wine House Australia, 133 Queensbridge Street, Southbank VIC 3006.
You are also required to attend a scheduled Zoom tasting tutorial before the exam. 
Online Tutorial Date: Thursday the 30^th of May 2024 at 2pm via Zoom.

In Person Exam Date: Wednesday the 3^rd of July 2024 at 2pm at the Wine House in Melbourne.

The cost of $1,150 includes access to our Online Classroom, online tuition, eBook study pack and examination.

Additionally, we offer a selected pack of wines from the Syllabus for the tasting component of the course.
You can choose between:

- 24 bottle wine pack at a discounted price of $990* (covers all of the wines recommended for the course)
- 18 bottle wine pack at a discounted price of $730* (covers many of the hard to get wines)
- 12 bottle wine pack at a discounted price of $530* (gives you an overview of some of the essential styles)
*Extra delivery fee for wines may apply to areas outside of Victoria. You will be contacted if your order falls into this category.

 

Please note

• The exam date is fixed. Once you register for this course, we cannot change your exam to a future date.
• No refunds will be issued within 10 working days prior to the start of the course. Before that period a 75% refund is allowed if a student cancels their enrolment. A 100% refund will apply if Wine House cancels. There is a re-sit exam fee of $230 if a student does not attend the exam for any reason or fails the exam. 
• Your booking details are transferred to WSET for registration. We will ask for your date of birth upon booking to register you with WSET.
