[SOLD-OUT] ONLINE Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 - 15/04/24

Learn about wines through an online study programme that is flexible to work around your existing commitments.

For individuals new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.

The Level 1 Award in Wines Online covers the same syllabus as the classroom course, but through a supported and interactive Online Classroom.
No prior knowledge is required!

The course covers

• The main types and styles of wine
• Common wine grapes and their characteristics
• How to make food and wine pairings
• Online tasting of six wines with educator feedback (students to provide their own samples)
• How to store and serve wine
• How to describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)

The course is delivered online starting on the 15^th of April 2024 and students can study at their own pace, but must complete the course in four weeks by the 12^th of May 2024.

A minimum of three hours study per week is recommended to a successful completion of the course. Regular access and participation is essential.

Tasting is an essential part of studying for this course, and you are strongly recommended to taste a minimum of 6 wines (we can supply a suitable tasting pack for the discounted price of $155).

The Course Exam will be held Online on Wednesday the 15^th of May 2024 at 12pm (noon, Melbourne time). 

Candidates must book in no later than 12pm (noon, Melbourne time) on Friday the 5^th of April 2024.

The cost of $300 includes access to our Online Classroom, tuition and examination.

In addition we offer a selected wine pack for the tasting component of the course at a discounted rate of $155*

• No refunds will be issued within 10 working days prior to the start of the course. Before that period a 75% refund is allowed if a student cancels their enrolment. A 100% refund will apply if Wine House cancels.
• There is a re-sit exam fee of $180 if a student does not attend the exam for any reason or fails the exam.
• Extra shipping fees are not included in course cost
• Your booking details are transferred to WSET for registration. We ask for your date of birth upon booking to be able to register you with WSET.
