Mi Terruno's purple-colored 2008 Mayacaba Malbec was sourced from a single 100-year-old vineyard and aged in new French oak. It displays.. cedar, tobacco, spice box, incense, and black cherry leading to a dense, muscular Malbec with ample fruit as well as a boatload of tannin. The wine seems to be in balance but will benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring to fully unwind. Drink it from 2013 to 2023, perhaps longer.
