"(50% new oak; 50% whole clusters; this wine only finished its malolactic fermentation in October): Bright red with ruby tones. Reticent, brooding aromas of medicinal black cherry, licorice and bitter chocolate. Denser, richer and sweeter than the regular village Gevrey but more backward and imploded today, showing almost painfully austere flavors of blackberry, herbs and licorice. A highly promising village wine but I wouldn't go near this for at least five years."
