Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Sub-Appellation: Gevrey-Chambertin
Region: Burgundy, France
The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Villages was showing quite tight on the nose, darker and more sultry fruit profile compared with the Chambolle-Musigny Village, but still nicely delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm lattice of tannin. Foursquare and quite "Morey" in style with a stony, slightly austere but focused finish. This should drink well over four or five years.
