It is believed that Argentina’s flagship white varietal was brought to the country by Spanish Jesuits in the 18th century. Torrontés is found in the world’s highest vineyards, resting at 5,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level in Argentina. "The citrus 2019 Torrontés is expressive and very aromatic with a combination of orange blossom and spices. It has a serious, dry palate, with pungent flavors, very nice balance and a serious finish that is long and dry, with just a faint bitter twist. This is light-years ahead of the super ripe and sweet versions of the grape that many produced in the past and were difficult to drink.
