We've been more than fortunate with Viognier, which, right from the outset, seems to have felt right at home in our vineyard. On the vine, it's tasteless one day, tasteless the next, tasteless the day after, then miraculously and somewhat disconcertingly, it's over-ripe the day after that! From our perspective, that obviously means a lot of love and attention " and tasting of grapes - in the vineyard, to ensure that it's picked at just the right time. The result is a heady, opulent, apricot-laden cocktail of aromas that offers generosity, spiciness & richness, held perfectly in check on the pure, savoury and gently grippy palate.
