"The intense aromas are reminiscent of crushed strawberries and orange blossom. It has a savoury yet smooth palate with some texture at the finish, and a long lingering aftertaste.
The wine was conceived more as a pink red wine than a rose-tinged white; it relies on phenolics for structure rather than being an acid-driven, just-done rosé. It's dry and fresh and leans towards texture and savouriness.
It’s a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Shiraz grapes (30%) from 25 year-old vines along our front drive. The Shiraz was whole bunch pressed, while the Cabernet was crushed before pressing. After finishing fermentation, the wine was aged in barrel for 6 months." - Yeringberg
