"The Yarra Edge vineyard was planted in 1983. It was contracted to Yering Station until this 2016, which was made by Chardonnay afficionado Dylan McMahon of Seville Estate (Halliday Winery of the Year 2019).
Whole-bunch pressed, it sees fermentation in French oak, followed by partial malolactic fermentation and then maturion for 10 months in 30% new French oak barrique.
This is a Chardonnay which asserts itself! Buttery, and Burgundian-styled, it has an abundant and rich palate of Chardonnay character - stone fruits and citrus - with honeyed nougat and spice notes, backed by nutty, mealy oak. Rich and powerful, it is balanced by good acidity and swells to a persistent length." - Wine House
