GOLD - Hobart Wine Show 2001 GOLD - Barossa Wine Show 2002 TOP 100 - Sydney International Wine Show 2002 GOLD - Melbourne Wine Show 2001 Robert Parker 91 points'A blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Shiraz, the 1998 The Signature is more forward and exuberant than the 1996 The Reserve. While not as dense, tannic, or powerful as the latter wine, it is beautifully made, displaying a deep ruby/purple color in addition to a sweet perfume of smoky blackberry fruit and spice, soft tannin, and a long, heady finish. In spite of its sweetness, richness, and forwardness, it has considerable structure underlying all the fat. Drink 2002-2012.'

'Even though it's a commercial wine, this has the track record (over 30 vintages behind it), the proven longevity and the sheer class to be considered a true classic.'
UK Wine Magazine, Max Allen, February 2003

'A very stylish expression of the traditional Australian blend whose heady perfume of perfectly ripened blackcurrants, plums and small red berries is carefully augmented by fine-grained smoky oak scented with dark Swiss chocolate and vanilla. The palate is sumptuous, multi-layered and deeply flavoured, yet retains elegance and style. A spectrum of small berry fruit and plums lifted with restrained herbal influences and a suggestion of prune and treacle is framed by fine-grained, velvet-like and ripe tannins.'
