[SOLD-OUT] Yalumba Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

This wine was matured for 21 Months in 68% new hogsheads & barriques (57% French, 8% Hungarian, 3% American), 15% 1 year old American oak hogsheads & French oak barriques, with the balance in older French hogsheads. Opaque black dark purple red colour with very deep purple crimson hue. Lifted aromas of cedar, blackcurrant and violets are followed by mulberry, spice and a hint of cigar box " a very refined sniff. Medium bodied with flavours of blackcurrant, cedar, violet infusions and spice. Good depth of flavour. Fine grained dryish tannins but balanced. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and spice. Cellar 4-5 years (2014-2015) Alc 13.5%
