"Blackcurrants, dry cassis characters, malt and truffle-like savoury notes, cedar and woody spice overlaid. There’s a seriousness and authority to the wine, it stands up in the glass in full dress uniform and attention. Lots of seasoning, lots of drying, puckering, dusty tannin, dark fruit and a sense of succulence in there with a good extension of flavour. Very serious, very youthful albeit a little old fashioned and rigid too. The fruit character is undeniably deep, interesting and providing a lot of architecture. It’s one for the cellar, and very good in its way, indeed" - Mike Bennie, Wine Front
