Elegant mid-weight wine with a wealth of commanding tannin. I am cabernet. Blackberry, blackcurrant, tobacco, earth, slippery oak. Toasty, dusty, clovey aftertaste. Dark fruited but not over-ripe. Oozes presence. Minor gum leaf notes. Black olives. John Riddoch really has got itself sorted out. This is what John Riddoch cabernet should be. It has an exceptionally long future ahead. Tempted to rate it higher.
