Huon Hooke agreed, finding "cassis and vanilla with hints of mint and char-oak. It's concentrated with blackberry and cassis. Firm and tight on the palate with intensity and focus. The tannins are full and firm, albeit ripe and rounded. A very good wine and well worth cellaring. It's developing slowly and should be long-lived.""
