"A superb modern shiraz that marries explosively flavoured and sour-edged fruit with smoky, mocha-like oak and velvet tannin. It's heady and ethereal, with a spicy, peppery fragrant of blackberries, blueberries and cassis backed by meaty, gamey, leathery and chocolate-like undertones. Easily soaking up its showy and charry new oak and a lavish array of spices, it's opulent expression of perfectly ripened berry flavours finish long and smooth, with just a faint hint of currant. Give it time. Drink 2016-2024."

"It has always been an oak-driven style but this has quite a bit else going for it. The fruit is lively and black, the acidity jumpy and good, the mix of coffeed character, long juicy tannins, and plummy fruit every bit attractive and the texture of it smooth and inviting. You have to like oak, but if you do, you'll have lots of fun here. Drink: 2008-2015."
