"Deeply scented with violets, cassis and cedar/chocolate oak, this smooth and sumptuous shiraz reveals alluring nuances of dark fruits, spices and white pepper. There's a hint of menthol and sweet, tightly integrated new oak. It unfolds layers of raspberries, licorice and cassis along its juicy, firm and velvet-like palate, Framed by silky tannins, it reveals undertones of licorice and currants. Terrifically well made, but perhaps a shade into the prune/currant flavour spectrum for an even higher score and anticipated cellaring future. Drink 2009-2013+."
