Port Phillip Estate

Established by Melbourne QC Jeffrey Sher, who sold the estate to Giorgio and Dianne Gjergja in 2000. The Gjergjas were rightly more than content with the quality and style of the wines; the main changes are enhanced cellar door facilities and redesigned labels. The ability of the site (enhanced, it is true, by the skills of Sandro Mosele) to produce outstanding Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and very good Sauvignon Blanc, is something special. Whence climate change? Quite possibly the estate may have answers for decades to come. James Halliday
