The myth around Ashton Hills is formidable. Since 1982 it was a place for one legendary winemaker's experimentation in Pinot Noir clones and techniques. Stephen George's great vision and talents has cemented the reputation of this tiny, dry grown site in the Piccadilly Valley of the Adelaide Hills. It is consistently producing some of our finest Pinot Noir and their Reserve, with its deep core of intensely savoury flavour, the most sought after. An Australian "Grand Cru", as Halliday describes it, without the price tag.
