AWARD-WINNING SPARKLING WINES FROM LIMOUX
Antech is one of the leading wineries specialised in the sparkling wines of Limoux of Languedoc-Roussillon. Owned by the same family for 6 generations, today the estate is run by Francoise Antech, the latest in a remarkable line of women winemakers dating 100 years. Limoux is famous for Mauzac, a unique local variety with intense apple flavours. It has been making sparkling wine longer than anywhere in France, first invented at St Hilaire Abbey in 1531.
Antech make both Cremant de Limoux and Blanquette de Limoux using the traditional method similar to Champagne. Their wines win frequent medals in major competitions and wine guides.
