"The Matthews vineyard in Berrys Creek was planted on red volcanic soil and has always been dry grown. It is a cool, damp site and the vines grow dense, lush canopies. John and his son David have carefully tended these vines since they were established in 1998. The nose shows aromas of raspberry and redcurrant with some subtle wood spice and nettle.
