eRobertParker.com 92 Points!"The 2007 Springflat Shiraz is 100% Shiraz aged for 20 months in hogsheads, 50 / 50 French / American oak, 40% new. Deep garnet-purple in color, it reveals aromas of warm blackberry compote, dark chocolate with a waft of dried Mediterranean herbs and menthol. The big, concentrated palate has high acidity and a medium to firm level of chewy tannins lingering in the long finish. This one needs another couple of years to be approachable and then should keep to 2020+."
