Black in colour. Sourced from the ‘Mt Pleasant’ and ‘Six Splits’ vineyards where yields averaged 0.8 tonne per acre. The nose is laden with black pepper, cinnamon, and raspberry notes. It is dense and bold over the entire palate. Dense raspberry and blackberry flavours with spice and earthiness intermixed. Beautifully balanced and showing its typical natural acid backbone which is a hallmark of ultra low yielding dry grown Heathcote Shiraz. Matured for 26 months in 100% new French and American oak hogsheads, adding a further layer of complexity to a long, full finish. This years top Shiraz.
