[SOLD-OUT] Wendouree Cabernet Malbec 2010

So good, so far these 2010 vintage Wendouree wines.

Oh those tannins, you just don't get 'em like that much in this country. Dark fruit, iron, mint/aniseed, pencils, perhaps a little panforte. It's only medium bodied but the strength and control, the mouth-feel and the firm fine graphite tannin, clean acid balance and dryness of it is just so damned impressive. Superb balance and length. Structurally up with top Bordeaux, I reckon, yet uniquely Australian. Beautifully and sensitively made. A great wine.
