Located east of Alessandria in the city of Monleale in the northern Piedmont region of Italy, Vigneti Massa present their classic 2009 Terra. This red wine is made from 100% Barbera. It is a staple in Piedmontese households because it works with a plethora of foods due to its low tannins but high acidity.
Barbera grapes typically have great colour and this offering from Vigneti Massa is no exception. It has a rich ruby hue with a lovely, berry-driven nose with notes of cherry and almond. The mid-lightweight palate has excellent balance and a long-clean finish. It is seductively smooth and a very attractive wine to accompany your next lunch or dinner.
