James Halliday 95 Points!

"The vines were planted in 1908, making them the oldest in Australia (and possibly the world), producing 500 dozen. Hand-picked, basket-pressed, solids-fermented with extended lees contact - no mention of oak. It is richly textured and appears riper than 12.5%, so it's perfectly possible the wine did not see oak."

James Halliday Wine Companion, October 2016

"Entirely hand picked and then basket pressed. After cold settling, the juice was partially fermented in stainless steel before being transferred into predominately older French oak where it was matured on yeast lees for eight months prior to blending and bottling.

Classic Hunter Valley Chardonnay, the wine is balanced between primary chardonnay flavours and secondary flavours derived from the minimal solids ferment and extended yeast contact resulting in this wines texture and mouth feel."
