"Australia's first co-fermented Shiraz Viognier (92% Shiraz, 8% Viognier), this exceptional wine is so named as it is considered the direct prote of Torbreck's world-renowned RunRig Shiraz. It's grown on a single vineyard on Roennfeldt Road, planted in 1994 with cuttings off old RunRig - one of the oldest sites in the world. The Shiraz is crushed straight on top of Viognier, whose first-run juice has been siphoned off for RunRig. The wine is co-fermented and then matured for 18 months in seasoned RunRig barrels."

"The deep red clay soils in this vineyard produce fruit which is very savoury, textured and rich, a satin-like texture and a glorious perfume. Of all the Torbreck releases this is one that really needs patience. Its immediate charm can be enjoyed upon release with a few hours breathing, but after the first 6 months, the rest should be locked away for at least 5 years."
