"From a couple of 80 year old vineyards. 2016 seems like a good vintage for Grenache in these parts. Poached strawberries and cherry, plenty of spice, a pleasant minty perfume, and a deeper earthy smell, maybe kind of like wet clay. Medium bodied, spicy and savoury, but with the succulence of red cherry and red berries, a cranberried acidity and flavour, sweep of fine-grained emery tannin, and a long cool finish. Beautiful wine. Truly the Burgundy of the Barossa."
