"Good result from the vintage, bolstered by the inclusion of the block that would normally go into The Righteous.
Pencils, five spice (plenty of pepper in the mix), vanilla, fresh blackberry and mulberry and chocolate. Medium to full bodied with a slightly viscous feel, then a little astringency but a core of plump mulberried fruit carries the day. Has some aromatic dried herb in there, attractive powdery tannin and pretty decent sort of finish " somewhat tart and herbal " but pretty satisfying. A pretty different sort of Albert, but a good wine nonetheless."
