Wine Front 96 points!

“They only make 118 dozen of this. It’s made using all-clone 115, the vines themselves planted in 1990. The Judd vineyard is the steepest and highest in the 10X portfolio.

Gee-whiz, this is good. Multi-faceted and luscious at once. Peppered and generally spicy, clovey, set with deep black cherried fruit, a little smoky, a little meaty. It’s bright and brooding at once; it’s complex but firm. There’s some sweetness to the oak and some bitterness to the aftertaste, both of which are entirely positive. Seriously impressive wine.

Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front, April 2017

The Judd Pinot Noir is a wine of contrasts, with two quite different strands to its personality. On the one side this has a light and lifted fragrance, a cool edge of white pepper, redcurrant and more. Underneath, there is also hints of bacon, meat and even plums, the finish expansive and heartier than expected, even if it’s still more medium bodied than truly full. This multi-faceted wine has both light and shade, needing only time to bring the personality traits together. Best drinking 2017-2027
