'The 10X range continues to offer excellent value from what is one of Victoria’s premier producers. A bright, light and reflective red in the glass, the nose has generous primary fruit of red cherry with bramble and spice very much in the background at this point in it’s development. The palate is characteristically Ten Minutes with layers of tannin, a touch of sappy spice but more than anything the varietal brilliance of Pinot Noir taking centre stage. As the nose suggests the fruit is very much in an opulent and primary stage but there is more than enough subtle winemaker induced characters that will come into their own in the next 6 -12 months. The finish has some nice savoury flare and plenty oak, undergrowth and spice. Drink 2017-2026'

"A rather breezy and juicy style for the 10X Pinot this year, if with an autumnal edge. There’s red raspberry fruit and cherry liqueur, underpinned by hints of mint and undergrowth. Compared to some vintages this is a less forceful style, the sour plum fruit rather more direct and affable, the tannins light and the leaning toward immediate drinking. This feels like a springtime wine; something to enjoy when the sun comes out again."

This is a Pinot that punches above its weight. Surprisingly restrained and elegant for what was a warm ripening season. There are layers upon layers of complexity here. Lifted aromatics of tart cherry, fresh tobacco leaves and candied ginger, the palate is supported by a fine acidity, gentle tannins & alluring savoury characteristics of dried red earth, leather and pencil shavings. Quintessential, on point, game Pinot Noir.
