“Good medium red. Intense redcurrant, black cherry, and cassis on the nose. Deep and rich on entry, then more austere and herbal with a mouthcoating texture and peppery acidity providing noteworthy clarity and cut. Finishes long and dense. Strikes me as being richer and riper but less floral than Tedeschi’s 2012 Amarone. This will repay patience. A blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and small amounts of local grapes such as Rossignola, Oseleta and others.”
