"Most often when I have a Central Otago Pinot Noir I wonder why I don't drink more of it. Well the answer comes in two parts a) I don't get sent that much of it and b) I'm too poor to buy it myself.
Black and red cherries, aniseed, lavender and thyme perfume and fetching clove spice oak. It's fresh and lightly juicy, with smooth fine grained tannin and a finish that delivers length and satisfaction in equal parts. Not especially complex as yet, but beautifully balanced and ever so tasty and good to drink. I'm easy with 93 or 94 points here " gently rocking on the cusp of gold and silver."

"Tasted two years ago this wine deserves a significant rating upgrade. Quite concentrate sweet fruit with more length and complexity than the second label, The Steppes. Black cherry, raspberry and violet with subtle smoke and thyme characters."
