'A very rich, profound wine with deep, layers of earthy, spicy and briary fruit. Its profound, smoky bouquet of sweet red berries, cherry kernels, raisins, figs and roast beetroot opens up slowly to reveal sweet floral notes and a hint of liqueur chocolates. It's sumptuous and thickly fruited, with a lingering, sweet core of red and black cherries and berries, but is also fine and restrained, finishing dry and savoury with a tight balance and focus.'

'Interesting wine this - it tastes distinctly different to most Australian Pinot. There's plenty of sweet spicy oak on opening (it subsides) and then come red fruits with some dark cherry. Medium bodied, fresh and firm with particularly attractive kitten tongue tannins. There's some alcohol warmth too, although it's not distracting, and a firmer sappy undercurrent underwriting its serious structure and nature. Clearly a promising site for Pinot Noir.'
