Wine Front 97 Points!
Wine Front 97 Points!"From a select parcel from a single, ancient vineyard, chosen by Standish for its incredibly high quality fruit, and impossibly low yield. Minute quantity produced from this portion of the vineyard too. As I poured, the wine caught the light in my tasting room and the burst of colour, just a second, was dazzling. One of those small moments.
And in the glass, that text book, vibrant black-purple with neon rims. Savoury scents of earth, charry meat, dark berry fruit and undergrowth. Something guttural and primal here " and to taste, more rugged than The Relic 2012, yet still fresh and vital, and a silkiness to fruit, but with a chew and sandiness to tannin that lends more structure and tension to the wine. Flavours are long, the wine expands then contracts across the palate, finishing again savoury, earthy and dusty. Epic wine. To savour"
