Wine Front 97 Points!
"Perfumed and floral, blueberry pie, raspberry, spice, grilled meat, subtle wild herb and liquorice. Full bodied, but not heavy, loaded with succulent red and black berries, distinct ‘mineral’ feel and flavour – pencilly even – fresh but unobtrusive acidity, and layers of thick graphite tannin to temper the bold fruit, closing with lush fruit, a slick of tannin, and alarming length. Strewth!"

"In Marananga, along the famed Roennfeldt Road, is the site where Standish sources the fruit for this scientifically themed Shiraz. Although strictly a single vineyard wine, six different parcels of fruit are fermented separately and held on lees for up to 20 months in a mixture of French oak and concrete eggs. Meticulous blending is where the magic in this wine lies - some perfume from this parcel, some blueberry from that, red and black fruit from the others and spice and structure from the final component. Mastery over fruit and form is what typifies this Standish Shiraz (and also the coolest label ever)."
