"Black fruits, black pepper and exotic spice, sage and aromatic herbs, BBQ snags, floral top notes. Full bodied, incredible density and depth here, black fruits with a subtle mintiness, all that spice and mouth-perfume, then sheets of silky ultra-high pixel tannin, cool acidity, and superb length, with a cascade of nourishing tannin to farewell. I’m not sure Eden Valley Shiraz gets much better than this... Superb."

"A new wine for the Standish stable, but something very special. This Shiraz comes from the Stonegarden Vineyard in the south eastern hills of the Eden Valley, a site planted almost 150 years ago in 1858 and as lovingly tended as other venerable, ancient sites of the region. It is to this wine's credit that it will be favourably compared, in quality terms, with the wines from Henschke's old vineyards, including Hill Of Grace. This is truly one of the most anticipated wines of the year!"
