"Lusty oak contribution to the aroma, choc/mocha and licorice with earthy stuff going on. Powerful palate shows dark, beefy black fruit character, the shine and resiny polish of very fancy oak, plus tense, slender tannins, and yet still maintains a pleasing restraint. A bolting horse at the end of a tether. It's pleasing to drink now, freshness of acidity lifts things and makes the wine approachable. Still, I reckon this is a keeper in which a couple of years will show a different, enjoyable wine. Can't fault its polish " feels meticulously made. Good stuff. "
