"Sure, the Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon take the limelight, but, here ya go, the red blend that Jan and Barry Morey love to offer to us. Biodynamic for ages, lo-fi winemaking for ever, a beautiful place in Beechworth run by beautiful humans. What’s not to like?

This is to like. A softer and more succulent expression of this wine has emerged from 2018 harvest. It feels very bright, licked at by blood orange acidity, though there’s layers of flavour in dark cherry, black plum, cola and fennel-green herb characters through and through. Extension of flavour is great too – lingering smudges of lightly grippy, skinsy, mineral flecked tannin are a charm. It feels so darn lovely to drink, though it feels best approached in a few years to a few decades. A great wine, again."- Mike Bennie, Wine Front

 

"The 2018 Cabernet nose displays dark cherries with a hint of cranberry. This fruit profile flows onto the palate combining with nice spicy oak and firm yet restrained tannin. This creates a well-balanced, long lingering mouth feel." - Sorrenberg
