[SOLD-OUT] Sons of Eden Marschall Shiraz 2015

'Textbook Barossa Shiraz' - Wine Front 94 Points!

Wine Front 94 points!
“Sourced from three vineyard in the sub-regions of Ebenezer and Tanunda.

This is textbook Barossa Shiraz, and you could pay a lot more. Blackberry, meat, liquorice, spice and a bit of smoky toasty oak. It’s full bodied, but well behaved, with depth and richness, lashings of supple tannin, even acidity, and a thick savoury finish of excellent length. Bang on.
Gary Walsh, Wine Front, January 2017

Deep purple with savoury aromas of allspice, licorice and deep dark berries. A whiff of fresh coffee grounds tells of its high-quality oak. Intense and lively, the palate is super concentrated yet remains adroit with a compelling texture, drive and length. Even better in five years.

Gourmet Traveller Magazine, April 2017

The MARSCHALL is a Shiraz made in a classic Barossan Style. Named as a tribute to the legendary Barossa Vignerons who pioneered the planting of the old treasured vineyards, which the Barossa enjoys today. David Marschall was a man of many talents and in conjunction with growing exceptional fruit was a revered martial artist, actor and demolition expert. His legacy lives on through his vineyards within the Tanunda and Ebenezer districts which make up the backbone of this wine.

Dark inky in colour this wine bursts out of the glass with ripe berry compote, underpinned by lifted violets and subtle dried herb aromas. The palate is modern, fresh and lively displaying a rich mid-palate complexity. From an outstanding Barossa vintage, the wine is approachable now but will mature well for many more years.
