Raspberry, nuts, spice and a very fetching perfume here, then a medium bodied palate with juicy red fruit and plums, a little sprinkle of the magic Barossa coal dust, spice and a clip of aromatic dried herb. Acidity is well settled and balanced, tannin offers pleasant grip and shape, and the finish falls to savoury and spicy, rather than simply fruit sweet. Drinks a charm. Pretty much bang on."
