"Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre. Not all doom and gloom from the Barossa Valley in 2011; some of the better spicy Grenache based wines scrub up pretty well.
A peppery, spicy, mix of black and red fruits " cool wet year shows through with briary character " but there's a little aniseed and chocolate too. Medium bodied, spicy and gently astringent, with sweet jubey fruit tempered by dried herb and spice. Good to drink, refreshing and vibrant, and also interesting for its point of difference."
