"This extremely limited release of 2006 Solitary Block Shiraz was sourced from the Geogiardis Family's exceptional Paulmara Vineyards in the Marananga sub-region of the Barossa Valley. This saturated deep-red/black coloured Shiraz shows a rich, complex nose and palate. There are flavours of dark stone-fruits liquorice, cloves, fennel and hint of tar. It is both powerful and persistent, with a long finish. It has significant cellaring potential."

eRobert Parker.com 92 points!"The 2006 Marananga Shiraz was aged in a mix of new and used French oak for 18 months before bottling without filtration. Opaque purple/black in color, it offers up a splendid bouquet of pain grille, pencil lead, mineral, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur. On the palate this large-scaled wine is structured, dense, savory, and harmonious. It will profit from 3-4 years of additional cellaring and offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2022."
